Dear Lumen Academy Families,

With enthusiasm and pleasure, I write this letter of introduction to you as the new principal of Lumen Academy. We are excited to open our doors to you for our inaugural school year of 2022-23. We welcome back students and staff and are elated to begin a new journey to help each student find their light and let it shine!

Our incredible educators and support staff have worked diligently over the summer to acclimate students to new expectations and opportunities for success. We recognize that students may be anxious about change with the new administration and school year; as such, we will continue to emphasize social-emotional learning while focusing on building a classroom community. 

Our mission is to help students build confidence in both their academic and social-emotional skills; our team focuses on specialized skills in content areas while providing each student with strategies to be lifelong learners

At Lumen Academy, we encourage students in self-expression, individuality, and independence, achievable through collaborative relationships with our families and the community. Our mission is to provide students with an appropriate, safe, and challenging academic environment where their light can shine! With your support, our staff at Lumen Academy strive to provide students with a special place to learn and grow.
